Mrs Paraskevi Palladiou is a retired social worker and used to be a supervisor in the Social Welfare Services of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance in Cyprus. The government tries to promote aspects of what vulnerable people need but there is still significant room for improvement to support independent living, says Mrs. Palladiou.

According to Mrs. Palladiou, FrailSafe would be very useful because it enhances older people’s sense of security, promotes independence and autonomous living and it’s therefore a system which should be embraced by the government

FrailSafe’s benefits of providing support or preventing unfortunate situations e.g. getting help after a fall, would also reduce the costs of the government. There’s always some resistance to innovation, especially when there’s financial implications but if FrailSafe’s partners provide convincing arguments, the system would add real value.
